And he joins a woman who can identify the specific vineyard of a Burgundian wine by its taste. When Rick drops in on a family-owned chateau, he finds the mom and pop thrilled to honor their American guests by pulling out the 48-star American flag they flew above their castle on D-Day in 1944 as American-led troops began the liberation of France. Experiences like these are the essential ingredients for travel at its best.
