We are excited that your station is planning to run Season 7 of Rick Steves' Europe. Thank you! To help you promote this event and make it a success, we are offering these free resources:
While Season Seven episodes are beautiful to air on their own, I produced the new 60-minute Rick Steves' Rome to kick-off this new season. Produced with primetime programming in mind, consider scheduling the Rome special as the opening celebration of the 14 new 30-minute episodes.
We have dedicated a special area on our website with the latest on travel to the destinations visited in Season 7. You can link directly to this page or transfer the content to your own site. You will attract more visitors (and supporters) to your station's website by offering them additional information on the show.
We have a national database of 250,000 travelers who have enjoyed our TV series and guidebooks. We can send tailored email messages to our customers in your viewing area to announce the program. Just let us know the zip code range for your viewing area, details about the special (date, time, etc.), and we'll do the rest!
I recently wrote the enclosed article to help promote this new special. Feel free to tailor the article to fit the format of your viewer guide or website. We also have photographs to accompany the article. The enclosed press release may be helpful to publicize the event to travel editors and entertainment and television guides in your area. The text for both the article and the press release, as well as the photos, can be emailed to you by request.
I have enjoyed producing this new season and hope to continue bringing engaging television to American Public Television stations at no charge.
If you have any questions or would like additional publicity support, please contact Brooke Burdick at my office by phone (425-608-4233), or email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Good luck with your event, and thanks for running the program!
