Updates since the 2012 edition
Orientation
The company that runs Venice's vaporettos, ACTV, has made several changes to line numbers and the identifying letters for vaporetto stops. Here are some of the most important changes:
Lines #41, #42, #51, and #52 are now lines #4.1, #4.2, #5.1, and #5.2.
The LN line (to Burano) has been divided into four separate lines (#10, #12, #14, and #22). If you're doing Rick's Lagoon Tour, use line #12 to link Fondamente Nuove to Murano, Burano, and Torcello.
The express DM line, which links Murano and Colonna, is now #3.

Please see the changes to vaporetto line numbers, above.
Burano
Burano's lace museum has reopened after a long renovation, and is now closed Monday (not Tuesday). It's open Tue–Sun 10:00–18:00 in summer (April–Oct) and until 17:00 in winter (last entry 30 minutes before closing, admission-€5).
Sleeping
The dates for Carnevale are printed incorrectly on page 238: In 2012 the festival takes place Feb 11–21, not Feb 11–March 21.
Locanda la Corte has new prices for 2012: standard Db-€150, superior Db-€170 (Sb-still €100).
Connections
Trains between Paris and Venice now use Gare de Lyon (not Paris Bercy), and are run by Thello, a private company that has stated it will not accept railpasses on this train.
