Best and worst accommodations:

Best: Chalet Bobs in Murren
Why: It was so nice to have our own kitchette (especially with the cost of restaurants) after a day of hiking and cool weather. It made us feel like temporary residents.

Victoria Van Wie in Cypress, TX USA 06/22/2008

Best: Chalet Boebs in Muerren
Why: Wonderful hosts, wonderful view, great accomodations, and interesting conversation about life in Muerren, alphorns, etc. We'll be happy to stay here if we visit again. Note: if you arrive or depart Muerren in the rain, with hands too full for an umbrella, you can get a taxi to or from your lodging (one of the few vehicles in town).

G Weaver DE USA 06/14/2008

Best: Hotel Silberhorn
Why: Friendly staff, wonderful breakfasts, absolutely awesome views.

Curt and Patty Henderson in Minnetrista, MN USA 06/05/2008

Best: Martahaus in Zurich and Goldener Stern in Lucerne
Why: Well run, friendly staff with excellent language skills. Safe and very clean rooms. Excellent choices!

Karren Tolliver in New Port Richey, FL USA 03/07/2008

Best: Fiadan in Lausanne Switzerland
Why: A girl friend & I stayed in this beautiful Swiss Chalet located in Lausanne with views of the city & the lake. The owner, Lucie, is reason enough to stay in Fiadan. Lucie invited us to a church service at the Lausanne Cathedral after which she gave us the royal tour & introduced us to her friends. She gave local insight to the protected & beautiful Corniche de Lavaux area that we enjoyed touring by car. We ate at her recommended Italin restaurant & it was great but the price shocked us. The waiter converted euros into Swiss Francs for us as we had arrived too late to find an ATM. The next day we visited Chateau de Chillon & after paying for the admission ticket realized we had been grossly overcharged at the Italian restaurant. Lucie to the rescue! After discussing the overcharge with Lucie, she insisted on accompaning us back to the restaurant where she spoke to the owner- who offered us coffee while he checked into the situation. A few minutes later the very polite but embarrassed waiter apologized profusely and refused to keep our generous tip. The peace & serenity of Fiadan would be hard to beat. The helpfulness & kindness of Lucie have made lasting memories!

Beverly Clauser in Ramona, CA USA 01/31/2008

Best: Hotel Staubbach, Lauterbrunnen
Why: Stayed at the Hotel Staubbach and loved it! All our expectations were more than satisfied and we really enjoyed the warm, welcoming ambience and found it to be great value for the pricing. Had a great time meeting other English speaking travellers from all over the world in the TV room and coffee room (free coffee and Tea all the time). The Hotel staff and the Swiss/American Owners were very helpful and genuinely concerned that guests were enjoying their stay, always available for questions and a welcoming smile or chat. You can see that everyone was really enjoying their stay at the Staubbach. It is a humble 2 star landmark Hotel with an old world charm which is exactly what we were looking for as visitors to Europe and it was perfect for our dollar deflated budget too! It is a clean, efficient, and well managed Hotel. Found Lauterbrunnen to be the perfect location as a base to all the amazing excursions in the region. The valley, waterfalls and alpine scenery are world famous for good reason and of course as everyone mentions the views are truly magnificent from the Hotel Staubbach and the best in town. We highly recommend the Staubbach! Check out their informative website www.staubbach.com

Jake in El Paso, NM USA 01/23/2008

Best:
Why: Lausanne Guesthouse and Staubach bed and breakfast in Lauterbrunner were both superb

Barbara Hart in Hudson, Mi USA 11/14/2007

Best: Luzern: TheBandB; Lauterbrunnen: Hotel Staubbach
Why: Not in Rick's guides, but a great place-- website is wwwthebandb.ch; Great location, not far from city center, and WAY cheaper than most alternatives; Isabelle, the proprietor, is an ambitious young woman who spent some time in Calif, speaks great english, and runs a great house; Lauterbrunnen: Hotel Staubbach-- great house, superb views (especially the S. Side facing the waterfall. Didn't want to come back!

John & Diane Hearing in Maple Valley, WA USA 10/15/2007

Worst: Hotel Mittaghorn
Why: I've been visiting the Berner Oberland and Walters for almost 20 years. Walter in now 84 and still a fine Swiss gentleman. But everyone staying here had a Rick Steves guidebook. Why go to Europe to experience "back doors" with a bunch of Americans at your hotel? Perhaps it will be Kandersteg or Brienz next time. I'm outta here.

Gerry in Schmitz, Wi USA 10/14/2007

Best: Hotel Lotschberg-Interlaken
Why: Very helpful staff who all seemed interested in helping us to find the right sightseeing to maximize our stay in Interlaken. Nice location close to shops and restaurants and good parking for those with rental cars. Rooms very small but quiet and clean, but beds not all that comfortable. Great breakfast.

Carole Schuster USA 10/13/2007

Best: Hotel Mittaghorn in Gimmelwald, Hotel Adler in Zurich
Why: This was our fourth time staying at Hotel Mittaghorn over the last 5 years and it is still my favorite place to stay out of all of the places that I have been in Europe. Walter is such a kind person. Unfortunately he is getting older and he didn't interact nearly as much with his guests during our stay this time as he had in the past. Still, the place is such a charming place to stay with great views for a great price. Hotel Adler is not in Rick Steves' book. We usually stay at Hotel Leoneck when we're in Zurich, but this time it was booked so we stayed at Hotel Adler instead. It is extremely clean and modern. It is in a great location within walking distance to the train station and all of the commonly visited sites in Zurich. Their website is at www.hotel-adler.ch

Worst: Hotel and Hostel Montarina in Lugano
Why: Considering the price (110 CHF) this place really wasn't that bad but the room was tiny. The room had a bed, a stool, a small night stand, and some hooks on the wall. There was no room to put our stuff. It was located right next to the train station, but it was kind of far from the old town.

Aimee in Anaheim, CA USA 09/26/2007

Best: Esther's B&B
Why: Friendly staff and very clean rooms. All-I-could-eat breakfast for 15 francs was great.

Colin Chapman in Seattle, WA USA 09/14/2007

Best: Hotel Alpina - Murren
Why: Great room overlooking valley...best location in Murren. The staff was very helpful and the food was great!

Laura in Houston, TX USA 08/21/2007

Best: Hotel Staubbach in Lauterbrunnen
Why: Very friendly staff, great breakfast, good location, close to the train station, so you could get around easily. All of the good comments you read on this website are true about Hotel Staubbach.

Mark and Kathy Kelsey in Santa Clara, CA USA 08/04/2007

Best: Chalet Bobs, Murren
Why: The two bedroom apartment was perfect for a family. Groceries can be bought at the Coop market in town (helpful for picky eaters and good on the budget), the view was incredible, Kitty and Albert are very nice and helpful, the price was excellent, and we were able to hear Albert play the alphorn every one of our 4 days there. This was the best accomodations we found in a 4 country trip- I can't recommend it more highly!

Beth Werker in South Berwick, Me USA 07/19/2007

Best: Traube in Appenzell, Alpina in Muerren, Bristol in Zuerich
Why: All three had decent to really nice rooms at good prices, and all were run by really friendly, helpful people.

Bill Gordon in Miami, FL USA 07/12/2007

Best: Hotel Staubbach, Lauterbrunnen
Why: I found the staff exceptionally friendly, and the rooms very good value. I appreciated that it was very quiet at night during my stay.

Worst: Goldener Schluessel, Bern
Why: Stayed for 7 nights June, 2006. Single room with WC/shower in hall: SF90/night, including breakfast. Room was very dark; noisy Old Town location. Staff were efficient but not friendly. I didn't find it to be especially good value. Bugs on cheeseboard and a cockroach crawling along floor in breakfast room especially turned me off! Thankfully it was my last breakfast there when I saw this.

Audrey Hermanutz in Edmonton, AB Canada 07/12/2007

Best: Hotel Garni Stella, Lugano
Why: Wonderful hotel near the train station. The hotel is an museum in itself with a wide array of scuptures and paintings. The outdoor garden/patio is well designed along with the swimming pool, and would envy any English gardener. Staff, including Antoinette were extremely friendly. Rooms were spacious, modern and well maintained. Breakfast in the morning in the hotel's sun room was refreshing. Took us only about seven minutes to reach the Piazza della Riforma via the funicular from the hotel.

Ken J in Reston, VA USA 07/05/2007

Best: All recommended hotels were good choices
Why: no surprises and good values! Used Continental in Bern, Traube in Appenzell, Goldener Stern in Lucerne and Murtenhof in Murten

Kathleen Burkley in Peoria, IL USA 06/13/2007

Best: Hotel Staubach, Lauterbrunnen
Why: The hotel was immaculate. The downey duvets were devine. The staff was stellar. Breakfast and coffee were excellent. It was our favorite place to sleep of all on our trip and we had all great ones!!

Les&Pat in Horseshoe Bay, TX USA 06/04/2007

Worst: Minotel Alagare, Lausanne, Switzerland
Why: Tried to reserve a room for June vacation via hotel website. After first try failed, tried again, but did not notice that the dates of stay had been defaulted back to day after "today's date". When I got the reservation confirmation, I sent message to hotel that dates were incorrect and needed to be change. However, policy is that no cancellation allowed within 48 hours of date of stay. Since I wasn't going to show up (since I was still in the United States and my trip wasn't for three months), they charged me over $600. Unbelievable! Their attitude was basically, "too bad for you, you clicked the wrong button". It's not like they lost any revenue either--room was un-reserved prior to date of stay.

Joel R. in Phoenix, AZ USA 02/28/2007

Best: Chalet Bobs, Murren
Why: We spent wonderful nights at Chalet Bobs which is surrounded with nice Alps Mountain view. Great location to uphill or downhill. If you are lucky, you would see wild animals around the Chalet in the winter time. Hosts, Albert and Kitty are very friendly. We had great conversations. And we are pleased to see Albert played Alphorn. The sound flowing in quite valley gives a grateful peacefulness.

William Chen in Plano, TX USA 12/18/2006

Best: Zurich - Hotel Bristol
Why: It was bright, clean, centrally located, with very accommodating staff. Because of that, our first night in Zurich was completely relaxing and we enjoyed their wonderful breakfast the following morning.

Gail and Dean in Ladner, BC Canada 11/29/2006

Best: Lauterbrunnen, Berner Oberland, Hotel Staubbach
Why: The staff are like family - concerned about you and help at every opportunity. Rooms were very clean and breakfast great. it's a quiet hotel with lots of space to visit with other guests and get/share tips. This was really a big help as we would do this after breakfast and it would determine our walk for the day - how weather affected each destination, terrain, difficulty, etc.

Gail and Dean in Ladner, BC Canada 11/29/2006

Best: Hotel Staubbach, Lauterbrunnen
Why: Helpful, accomodating staff, lovely room and balcony, internet availability, location!

Therese LeGro in Alfred Station, NY USA 10/31/2006

Best: Hotel Baren, Wengen
Why: Spectacular view from room, outstanding dinners (we booked half board) at the best restaurant in town (as we heard from shopkeepers); and wonderful, kind owners (Therese loaned her walking stick to one of us for the week we were there).

Worst: Luzern, neither of the moderate hotels were available
Why: Tried to book a month ahead & both moderate hotels were already booked. Recommend Hotel Pickwick nextdoor to Hotel des Alpes which you listed. No breakfast but reasonable for view room of river and excellent, convenient location.

Eileen Kemp in Portland, OR USA 10/28/2006

Best: Hotel Adler, Appenzell
Why: Located in center of town above a bakery and ice cream shop. Who could ask for more? The rooms are spacious, updated, very clean with comfortable beds and an elevator. Franz and his wife are very friendly, opening the cafe (after hours) to serve us home made ice cream when we arrived back to the hotel after dinner. The breakfast was one of the best.

Donna in Fresno, ca USA 10/24/2006

Best: Hotel Alpina in Mürren.
Why: Best (low) rate for great accomodations with a mountain view.

Gary & Kathy in Marion, IA USA 10/18/2006

Worst: Haus Lydia, Appenzell, Switzerland
Why: While Haus Lydia looks like a nice place, they need to improve their service. We called for reservations and the phone was never answered. We drove to Haus Lydia and saw a "rooms available" sign, but no one answered the door, so we waited. When someone returned two hours later, we were informed that no rooms were available. Haus Lydia needs to improve!

Bob Alexander in Sammamish, WA USA 10/16/2006

Best: Chalet Helvetia, Muerren
Why: Clean small 2 BR chalet with kitchen, bath - everything needed was supplied. Views from balcony of Jungfrau indescribable - sunsets too. Very friendly owners, made our stay so enjoyable.

Worst: Elizabeth Clement Arnold House, Avenches
Why: We were taken to the third floor, out on a deck, and asked to climb thru the bedroom window to get in. Finally offered to take us down and around to an outside door. Room old, outdated, and not ready for us (7PM.)Bath on a lower floor, dark, also not ready. Room was 40 Euros, but 10 euros extra for the duvets! No breakfast - bakery across street, though.Spend more money and stay in nearby town of Murten - beautiful!

Bob and Janet James in Smiths Falls, On Canada 10/11/2006

Best: Hotel Alpina in Murren
Why: We "splurged" on a view-room facing the valley. Every night we sat out on the balcony for hours. This was the highlight of our trip. The breakfast and Roger were also great.

Julie in Los Angeles, CA USA 10/05/2006

Best: Camping-Jungfrau
Why: This place deserves to be a "find" in your book. The place has a great location and offers a wide variety of accomodation (tent to RV to cabin) at very reasonable prices. The staff are also helpful.

Daniel in Morin, NY USA 10/01/2006

Best: Hotel Staubach, Lauterbrunnen
Why: staff is fabulous. Rooms fine. view magnifiscent. No sleeping late with those church bells though.

Worst: Hotel Rosti Pension, Luzerne
Why: a bit yucky. Staff curt. OK, but wouldn't stay there again.

Susan in Miami, FL USA 09/21/2006

Best: Hotel Staubbach, lauterbrunnen
Why: The views! Lauterbrunnen valley is truely a marvel. Our room had a private balcony and was nice, cosy and clean with a heavenly view. The Hotel is well managed and organized. Everyone made our stay so memorable, they really took the extra effort to make our visit a joy. Good reccomendation Rick, we loved it!

Jason USA 09/17/2006

Best: Hotel Mittahorn, Gimmelwald
Why: A unique experience. Not the fanciest place in Europe, but warm and comfortable. The food is excellent so be sure and eat dinner. You also meet fasinating peoople from around the world.

Worst: Sleeping in the Straw, Gimmelwald
Why: The barn itself was quite clean and comfortable and Ester was very pleasant and acommodating. The problem arose from the odor eminating from the decomposing manure pile in front of the barn. We live on a farm and are no strangers to the smells, but this odor was unpleasant to sleep in.

Kim Guttendorf in Tully, NY USA 09/14/2006

Best: Chalet Bobs, Murren
Why: Great 2 bedroom apartment with a view across the valley to peaks and waterfalls. Landlords Kitty and Albert were wonderful hosts--very helpful and friendly. Albert played the alphorn for us at their apt. and we also enjoyed an outdoor performance of his at one of the hotels in Murren--a memorable Swiss experience!

Karla in Portland, OR USA 09/11/2006

Best: Hotel Jungfrau
Why: Great staff. We got the 3 bedroom 2 bath appt for 2 nights. The views are awesome out of every window. Food is good. Bartender looks like a character on Sex and the City. Ran into a Rick Steve's Tour group (in the bar).

Jeff Kane in North Tustin, CA USA 09/06/2006

Best: Esther's Guesthouse, Gimmelwald
Why: Very comfortable. Great breakfast. The owner, Esther, was away on vacation in Portugal, and her helper, also called Esther, was really charming and friendly. Being able to use the kitchen can really help stretch your budget - get food from the Mountain Hostel or from the co-op in Muerren as well as from Esther herself.

Ian in Minneapolis, Mi USA 09/03/2006

Best: Esther's B+B in Gimmelwald
Why: Great view, cosy rooms, great breakfast.

Laurel Dallmeyer in Canandaigua, NY USA 08/30/2006

Best: Chalet Fontana, Murren
Why: great place, very convenient, and we loved our "roomies" and Murren and the hikes around the area. It was my favorite place on our 15 day European trip!

Worst: Formule 1, Zurich airport
Why: This was a horrible place! It's not near the airport, but the shuttle showed up on time. The hotel receptionist smoked up the lobby, even though there was a no-smoking sign onher desk (next to hre Marlboro Reds). The room is dorm style, with the bathroom and shower down the hall! The website never told me this, so we were shocked. We were on a non-smoking hall, but couldn't get away from the smell of smoke, even with a hall window open. The smoke alarms went off at 5 am, when we were trying to leave, and the elevator was turned off. Had to lug bags down 6 flights. Terrible place! Also had terrible time geting reservation confirmation before we left US. Had to call directly - internet site was useless. Pay a little extra to stay at the sister hotel next door.

Shannon Hammond in Hoover, AL USA 08/08/2006

Best: Staubbach Hotel, Lauterbrunnen
Why: A wonderful experience! Anni was so helpful. We were there on Aug 1, the Swiss National Holiday. The fireworks from our balcony were spectacular as was the view of Staubbach Falls. A great base for trips to the Jungfrau, Wengwen, Trummenbach Falls, etc...

Melodye Lerich in San Antonio, TX USA 08/07/2006

Best: Hotel Eiger, Murren
Why: The Best Hotel I have ever stayed in!! Rooms are perfect, crispy clean linens, incredible view. Best of all... the Staff! Especially Suzanna and Adrian at reception, and Drago, the porter. We LOVED Hotel Eiger!!

Ryan in San Francisco, USA 08/02/2006

Best: St. Moritz youth hostel and in Lausanne
Why: St. Moritz - best value Fruhstuck and dinner for the money in Switzerland. Only bad thing - a bit of a hike from the train station - but one can take the bus and the walk IS along the lake. Away from traffic - but no fan available

Lausanne Riverhouse - great view of the lake and right off the train station, but not really affected by train noise. No Frushstuck brought down the value of the stay.

Hotel Krone in Murten had the best Fruhstuck and you got to enjoy the great lake view in the morning.

Worst: Goldener Stern in Luzern
Why: noisy, hot, cramped little room. Nice Fruhstuck, but of all the poor value for the money Swiss hotels (they are all poor value with the exchange rate) this was the poorest. Not to say that there are better deals in Luzern, tho' - Switzerland is just that way. At least wasn't too far from the train station and the ride to Pilates was excellent and very easy.

Roger Satterthwaite in Pasadena, CA USA 07/30/2006

Best: Hotel Eiger, Murren
Why: Clean, high quality rooms, good/new beds, great bedding, down comforter and down pillow, modern, clean bathroom, clothes line in bathtub, balcony with amazing view of the Alps, swimming pool, Very Friendly staff...everyone was extremely kind, warm, helpful, and genuinely happy to have us there. Restaurant serves really good food. We LOVED it!!

Susan in Corte Madera, Ca USA 07/21/2006

Worst: Hotel Mittaghorn
Why: Unfortunatley this site has only best and worst so i put this under worst. Its not really worst but something that you should be aware of - its NOT a very clean or hygenic place. One afternoon, my dad and I killed like 50 flies in our room alone in like an hour and a half. Walter certainly needs to invest a bit in his hotel 'coz its not like dirt cheap.

Tim is a great guy. He's a guest (very frequent) there but very helpful.

michigander in san jose, ca USA 07/19/2006

Best: Minotel Silberhorn, Lauterbrunnen
Why: 200 meters (uphill) from the train station. Easy walk to everything. If you are trying to cover everything in the region in a few days this is a good base. Only negatives. No elevators and lots of stairs. Had to nag them to change the sheets after a few days. Otherwise, I would stay here again.

Worst: Hotel Leoneck in Zurich
Why: The rooms were clean and ok in size. But they were very expensive, no AC, breakfast was extra and most of the rooms face the noisy street or church bells. Might be ok in cooler weather but avoid in summer.

Christopher Reich in Billings, MT USA 07/15/2006

Best: Eiger Guesthouse
Why: Price was cheap. It cost us less for 3 nights than it did to ride up to Schithorn!

Kristi Magee in Landstuhl, Germany 07/14/2006

Best: Walter's, Gimmelwald
Why: The experience is worth the hike up the hill

Mary in Minneapolis, MN USA 07/13/2006

Best: Staubbach Hotel
Why: Great location run by friendly and helpful proprietors.

Jill Henniger in Kailua, HI USA 07/03/2006

Best: Hotel Lotchsberg
Why: The owner, Fritz, was hilarious and very friendly. He made us feel like we were guests in his own home. He gave us daily updates on the weather, and recommendations of what we should see and do each day.

Scott Farish in Leesburg, VA USA 07/02/2006

Best: Bellevue in Murren
Why: Ruth and Othmar were so friendly and gracious. The hotel was very nice and what a view. We loved the full breakfast and the at home feel. Love to return!!!

Worst: Hotel Leoneck in Zurich
Why: The room we stayed in looked older, dingier, and smaller than what was on their website. Although it is not against Rick Steves, the hotel was a huge dissapointment for us as we paid $170 franks for what seemed like a 2 star hotel that was noisey, plus breakfast was an extra $30 pp.

Jeff in Sugar Land, TX USA 06/27/2006

Best: Chalet Bobs
Why: Excellent view of Alps, cozy apartment, great hiking nearby, wonderful landlords

Cindy in Portland, OR USA 06/24/2006

Best: Resturant in Luterbrunnen-Hotel and Swiss Pass
Why: Sorry I forgot my book in Switzerland. The hotel run by the family just up from the train station that is listed in the book was even better than originally described!!

The Swiss pass was the most awesome thing to have. Museums, trains to go places just for fun, boats covered on most of the lakes, many commuting gondolas, discounts, city transportation and it was the best value going!!! My college daughter went with me and is hooked on single country passes now!!!

Worst: zurich- the chagal windows
Why: closed and that is the only thing I went to really see.

a. brewer in wilmington, nc USA 06/18/2006

Best: Staubbach
Why: The location was beautiful, the people at the hotel were extremely helpful and friendly, and it was a good base for exploring the area and getting to/from places like Bern and Interlaken.

Jim Perschbacher in Mableton, GA USA 06/11/2006

Best: Hotel Staubbach in Lauterbrunnen
Why: The staff is amazing! They readily offer advice on the area and stop to chat about how your day was. As for the necessities, we had a renovated room with new carpet, lots of windows, and fluffy duvets and pillows. Definitely the best hotel experience on our trip.

Tracy H in Clearwater, FL USA 06/02/2006

Best: zurick- hotel lioneck
Why: really a wonderful surprise. comfortable, intersting decor and tromphe d'oil in the rooms with great hotel staff. Towel on bed folded in shape of swan

a brewer in wilmington, nc USA 05/29/2006

Best: Martahaus Hotel, Zurich
Why: Rooms were very nice but the street was noisy past midnight, just as the book warns. Internet in lobby although the kiosk wasn't as easy to use as a normal computer.

Richard in Cupertino, CA USA 05/24/2006

Best: Chalet Bobs
Why: Kitty and Alfred were very friendly and helpful. Alfred played his alphorn for us one afternoon, a truly unique Alpine experience. They also gave us great hiking advice since many of the Murren trails were still closed due to snow. The view is pretty amazing too.

Stacey in Napoli, Italia 05/23/2006

Best: Hotel Staubbach, Lauterbrunnen
Why: The hotel was great. Our view was incredible. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The bed was the most comfortable one I have ever slept in. We went to sleep listening to the sheep and cows. Breakfast was lovely. The lounge area was a great place to meet other travellers. If you want a low-key, relaxing hotel, stay here.

Brenda Sheridan in Yorktown Heights, NY USA 05/15/2006

Best: Pension Gimmelwald
Why: fabulous views, kind hosts, wonderful food - breakfast and dinner were included with our room, and our one full day there we ordered fondue and rosti (ultimate hashbrown)for lunch - so good!(sharing one order of each was plenty for me and my mom) They also serve Esther's yogurt for breakfast - yum!

Shannon Bailey in St Petersburg, FL USA 04/24/2006

Best: Hotel Kreuz in Bern
Why: Nice rooms at a good price (for Switzerland), and an easy walk from the station. Note to Rick: Why was this hotel featured in the 2004 guide but not the 2005 guide ??

Steven Schumacher in Katy, TX USA 04/04/2006

Best: Walter's
Why: It has a great mix of guests. Tim, Walter's assistant, is an endless source of amusing stories and valuable hiking information. And beer. Be sure to load up on 1fr coins to operate the hot water meter.

Edward in Flaherty, FL USA 03/27/2006

Best: Hotel Staubbach, Lauterbrunnen
Why: Truely enjoyed the welcoming staff. They advised on where to go as if we were relatives, and the English was perfect! Loved the crystal chandelier in the reception of this charming Landmark Hotel. Definately the best view in town, unobstructed views of the waterfalls and the beautiful Lauterbrunnen valley. No TV or phone in the room but there is both for public use on the ground floor. We were there to enjoy the views anyhow. Public internet access also quick and easy to use. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend staying here. They did their best to make us feel so welcome. Lauterbrunnen proved to be a perfect base, very centrally located to explore the Jungfrau region and found the village adorable. Thanks Rick for sending the hot tip...

Harold Peterson in San Francisco, Ca USA 03/25/2006
