Referring to Stoners Cheat Sheet, page 462, in Europe 101, History and Art for the Traveller: Tufa is not a variety of travertine. Not only in geology, but also in the looser terms of architecture Tufa is of volcanic origine, travertine is a sweet-water charbonate.

Page 129, photo of "Kings College Chapel" is mis-identified. This photo is actually of my favorite from our trip - the center of the ceiling of the Bath Abbey.

Just finished the 2007 edition of Europe 101. Here are a couple of corrections/revisions:

p. 96: the Viking Sights exhibit is missing the country after Alborg, _____

p. 121: You mention that the Muslims "fought to keep the blood-thirsty foreigners form desacrating the holy lands of Abraham, Isaac, and Muhammad." An interesting note is that Muslims believe that it was Ishmael (son of Abraham through Hagar who also is the ancestor of the Arabs) who Abraham was commanded to sacrifice--not Isaac.

p. 231: Mary I (Bloody Mary) ordered the execution of Protestant men, women, and children (not Catholic as the book states).
