Backpacking Europe April-May 2010
I am looking for someone to backpack through Europe with this April-May. I'm a 19 year old student, although I intend to take the quarter off for this trip. I have no set itinerary, although I know I'd like to leave in early April and return late May/early June. Spain Spring 2010
Hello travelers!
I am planning a trip to Spain in March or May of this year and would love a companion for a few days (or whatever). I know it is not far in advance but I am waiting on my new passport to arrive before I buy a ticket and set the dates. Currently it looks like end of March or beginning of May. I plan to spend 6-7 days in Madrid and surrounding areas and 3-4 days in Barcelona and surrounding areas. Travel between the two will likely be by air. I am 25 y/o female looking for a similar age (probably 21-30 but open to others) male or female. I am interested in historic, cultural, and food/drink related outings but am on a tight budget so I have to keep the shopping limited. I am planning hostel stays all the way. I am a HUGE Real Madrid fan and am hoping to go to a match while I am there as well as tour the Bernabeu. I would love to see some other teams as well if possible. I love going to smaller, less "touristy" areas, restaurants, and bars. I definitely plan to go out to bars and clubs while I'm there as many times as money permits but going out is not my highest priority. As long as I get to go out a few times I'll be satisfied.
As far as my interests, I love going out until closing time on weekends, I enjoy working out and dancing, I love almost all types of music, and I'm a book lover. As mentioned before, I am a huge soccer/futbol fan and would love someone similar but it's not necessary. I am not looking for someone to be attached at the hip but rather a companion who is open to going together when we wish and being separate when we want to do different things. I am usually laid back but am a fast walker :) I speak limited Spanish but enough to figure things out w/out too much stress I think. Anyway, if any of this sounds right to you, or even if you are in the area and might like to just meet up for dinner, hit me up. Hopefully I will have my dates w/in the next week or so. Hi, I've posted previously, but since then my plans have solidified. I will be backpacking (real backpacking (camping with hostels here and there) from Glasgow to England, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and perhaps northern Italy. From there, I will return to Paris and fly out from there.
I will be arriving in Glasgow May 11th and be departing Paris on May 31st, so that gives me about 2 1/2 weeks of exploration! I'm very excited, needless to say. For years I've dreamt of returning to Europe. I'll be turning 60 in December. I like to say souixante ans. My travel interest have changed from rushing around from site to site, partying, shopping and buying expensive souvenirs to gardening, history, art,writing enjoying the locals,learning another language,enjoying good food ,good wine,slow hikes,riding around the country-side and relaxing.This kind of trip is nice for slow walkers and physically challenged folks.
I am definitely not interested in whirlwind tours and waking up at 6am to be on a bus by 7am everyday.Hostels are not for me anymore. I need a home base with a shower and I need to know where all the toilets are.
I want to find some like-minded friends to travel to Italy and/or France or to the British Isles in 2010 on a budgeted but comfortable and tasteful tour. This trip would be for those of us who don't have a lot of money.Just regular folks who don't need to be too fancy and thought that travel was just a far-fetched once in a life time thing.
If one started now, by next August,one could save enough for the trip. I've discovered that there is nothing in life which excites me more than travel and I am willing to sacrifice. I think I will have a yard sale next month to get started.
We could rent an apartment or villa for ten days if there are enough of us. We could prepare most of our own meals,have picnics,shop in markets and grocery stores, rent a minivan,take trains and buses ,plan our own itinerary,relax, then go back again next year.
I'd like to hear from anyone who is interested in this kind of travel.

Moving to England! 2010

Bicycle Touring July/August 2010
Experienced bicycle tourist solicits interest from other adventuresome cyclists, age 36+, for a two-three week trip in July/August, 2010. Looking at: 1) Austria/Germany, Croatia, Czech Republic, Slovakia and/or Poland; 2) Ireland & Northern Ireland; or 3) Normandy & the Loire Valley in France. Casual pace of 10-12 mph, averaging 45 miles a day over lightly traveled, rural back roads. B&B overnights. Pub grub and inexpensive restaurants for dinner. Time to visit historic sites, for photography, enjoying the scenery and strolling around Europe's many small towns and villages. Summer 2010 Backpacking
Hi all. I realize that it is still a year away but I am planning a trip to backpack (and train) through Europe during the summer of 2010 staying at hostels along the way. I will be 21 at the time of the trip and am looking for either a male or female around the same age (19-26 would be fine, but im flexible). Im easygoing and open to whatever you want to see as this is my first time doing this. My final trip length is likely to change, but i will be going for between one and two months (probably). Im fairly physically fit so we can move fast if you want, but i will be stopping at bars many nights.

I'm an energetic early 50's old hippie Yankee girl, transplanted from MA many moons ago. This is my 8th trip to Amsterdam, & for the 1st time, I'm traveling solo. I usually travel with friends or my hubby, but this trip, nobody has the expendable income. Age is not an issue as long as you're old enough to drink, but young enough to still have fun! My budget is moderate, but rare & well chosen splurges are a definite possibility. I'd love to meet up for a meal, boat ride or tour, or even a city walk. Radical travel, Europe 2010 spring/summer
Looking for a radical friendly travel companion for the spring-summer of 2010. I am a 19 year old male who enjoys concerts, parties, long walks on the beach and civil unrest. Some places that are a must on my list are Freetown Christiania in Denmark, Exarheia in Athens and the other hip/radical areas in nearly all the major cities from London to Amsterdam and beyond. There are plenty of annual events on my list, celebrations and street parties ranging from Walpurgis night in Berlin, to massive cannabis parades to the Edinburgh Fringe fest. Maybe even some Greek island hopping. Looking for someone around my age, at least 18 and at most 30, gender is not an issue.

May 2010-Bike touring southern Franch/Italian Riviera to Venice.
Easy going 36 year old strait guy, looking for easy going buddy (m/f) with some cycling experience. Must me in good health and decent fitness level for long cycling trips.
I was born in Europe now living in US of A, planning to go bike touring/camping next year (may 2010) from Marseille to Cinque Terre using scenic and back roads across French and Italian Riviera and then crossing the mountains all the way up to Venice. Bikes and equipment travel with us as luggage from US to Marseilles.
I'm camping using a small individual tent, eating in small, cheap restaurants along the way. One night stops in Toulon, St Tropez, Monaco and other places if camping is allowed. I'm thinking to go easy paddling (not racing), covering 30-50 miles daily for 18-20 days or so, depending on weather and terrain.
Is anyone done it before? Pls share your experience! If everything's going as planned I intend to stop in Monaco and see the Formula Grand Prix race. (if possible). So, as you can see nothing is got to stay as schedule. Bottom line is to see and experience the beauty given to us by mother nature.

Ireland 2010
I am planning a trip to Ireland in Sept. 2010 and would like to find a travel buddy. I know this is far off, but it gives time to save and make plans. I plan on staying at hostels or B&Bs. I plan on using Rick's 23 day tour of Ireland as my guide, so we would need to share the cost of a rental car - unless we can figure out a cheaper way :) I am a single, 32y/o white female and prefer to travel with m/f in same age range.
