France's Dordogne River Valley — with its dramatic castles, evocative cave paintings, and prized cuisine — is a lush blend of natural and human-made beauty, and Julianne Wurden and Lisa Friend are on hand to guide us through all its glory. Together, we take an idyllic canoe ride, wander through a lamp-lit castle, enjoy a country market, and visit the Sistine Chapel of the prehistoric world. Then we head south to Albi, home of Toulouse-Lautrec, and the imposing fortress city of Carcassonne. In true French fashion, we sip wine and snack on a crunchy baguette as we go.
