Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Spain

We'll gather at our Barcelona hotel at 5 p.m. for a "Welcome to Spain" get-together. Then we'll join the locals in their nightly ritual and head out for an orientation paseo (stroll) through our neighborhood. We'll finish by getting acquainted over a tapas-style dinner together.

Light walking: 2–4 miles throughout the day on mostly level terrain. No bus. Sleep in Barcelona.

Day 2: Lively, Artistic Barcelona

Today we'll explore Barcelona's stylish and modern Eixample neighborhood, home to many of Gaudí and his contemporaries' elegant homes. Then we'll make our way to his towering, dizzying Sagrada Família. Afterward you'll be free to experience more of this magnificent city on your own, from the Picasso Museum to Gaudí's playful Park Güell.

Moderate walking: 2–6 miles throughout the day with some hills and stairs. No bus. Sleep in Barcelona.

Day 3: Masterpieces of Madrid

All aboard! After breakfast we'll take one of Europe's speediest trains (the AVE) to Madrid. We'll tour one of Europe's premier art museums — the masterpiece-packed Prado — where you'll see paintings by Velázquez, Goya, El Greco, and others. Later we'll stroll the lively streets of our neighborhood and enjoy dinner together.

Moderate walking: 2–6 miles throughout the day with some hills and stairs. Train: 3 hours. Bus: 2 hours. Sleep in Madrid.

Day 4: Madrid and the Royal Palace

This morning we'll meet our local guide for a tour through the sumptuously decorated Royal Palace. With 2,000 rooms, acres of luxurious tapestries, and a king's ransom of chandeliers, this is truly one of the great palaces of Europe. Our walking tour will continue through Madrid's bustling Puerta del Sol to its elegant Plaza Mayor. Your afternoon and evening are free to explore Madrid's wealth of museums, stroll through the majestic Retiro Gardens (Madrid's most popular park), and maybe even catch a performance of zarzuela, Spain's delightfully light opera.

Strenuous walking: 2–8 miles throughout the day with lots of hills, stairs, and uneven terrain. No bus. Sleep in Madrid.

Day 5: Day Trip to Segovia

We'll venture out of the city by bus to the history-rich town of Segovia and its beautifully preserved Roman aqueduct. After a walking tour of the aqueduct and town, you'll have free time to wander and visit Segovia's medieval Alcázar fortress. We'll regroup this afternoon for lunch to savor a Segovian specialty together — roast suckling pig. Then we'll return to Madrid in time for you to enjoy dinner on your own.

Moderate walking: 2–6 miles throughout the day with some hills and stairs. Bus: 3 hours. Sleep in Madrid.

Day 6: Historic Toledo

It's a short bus ride to Spain's old capital city of Toledo (and back in time about 500 years). We'll take a morning walking tour that includes Toledo's magnificent cathedral, the medieval Tránsito Synagogue, and El Greco's Burial of the Count of Orgaz at the Santo Tomé Chapel. This afternoon and evening, you'll have plenty of free time to enjoy the winding streets and varied sights.

Strenuous walking: 2–8 miles throughout the day with lots of hills, stairs, and uneven terrain. Bus: 1 hour. Sleep in Toledo.

Day 7: La Mancha and Granada

This morning we'll drive through windswept "Don Quixote country," stopping to sniff the saffron and admire a whitewashed windmill or two. After taking a break for lunch at a traditional Venta, one of Andalucia's humble roadside eateries, we'll make our way to Granada, where we'll begin with a neighborhood orientation before heading up the Albayzín hill for dinner together and enjoy a sunset view of the Alhambra.

Moderate walking: 2–6 miles throughout the day with some hills and stairs. Bus: 5 hours. Sleep in Granada.

Day 8: Moorish Treasures of Granada

Today you'll learn about Spain's Islamic legacy with a visit to the sprawling palace and garden complex of the Alhambra (when available). This last and greatest of Europe's Moorish palaces will awe you with its grace and artistry. You'll also have free time to make your own discoveries along the colorful streets and alleyways of Granada's Old Town.

Moderate walking: 2–6 miles throughout the day with some hills and stairs. No bus. Sleep in Granada.

Day 9: Ronda

Today's destination is the hill town of Ronda, home to Spain's oldest bullring and its most breathtaking gorge. This afternoon, we'll visit the 5,000-seat bullring and have free time to explore Ronda's Moorish and Mercadillo Quarters, linked together by the famous gravity-defying stone bridge (towering over the rubble of an earlier one that wasn't). Then we'll enjoy dinner together at our hotel.

Light to strenuous walking (your choice). Bus: 3 hours. Sleep near Ronda.

Day 10: Spain's Pueblos Blancos

Today we'll wind our way between the olive groves and whitewashed villages of Spain's pueblos blancos. We'll head into the countryside to visit a bull farm and learn about Spain's most controversial pastime. Then we'll tour an olive oil mill, where we'll discover the traditional methods of producing this extra-virgin export. After a rustic lunch together, we'll press on to the quintessential Spanish hill town — Arcos de la Frontera — where we'll share dinner together.

Moderate walking: 2–6 miles throughout the day with some hills and stairs. Bus: 2 hours. Sleep in Arcos (group may be split between two hotels).

Day 11: Sherry and Horses

We'll start our day with a visit to a local Andalusian horse farm. After learning all about these magnificent creatures and their connection to the local culture, we'll take a short drive to your guide's favorite Andalusian town. You'll be set free to explore and find a tasty tapas lunch before we regroup to sample the region's other famous specialty, sherry. This evening, we'll return to lovely Arcos with time to relax and enjoy dinner on your own.

Moderate walking: 2–6 miles throughout the day with some hills and stairs. Bus: 2 hours. Sleep in Arcos.

Day 12: Sevilla's Barrio Santa Cruz

This morning we'll drive directly to Sevilla, Spain's most flamboyant and atmospheric city. We'll begin our visit with a guided tour that takes us from the famous La Macarena (Weeping Virgin) statue to the world's largest Gothic cathedral. You'll have time to do more exploring on your own before we regroup tonight for a performance of sultry, swirling flamenco.

Moderate walking: 2–6 miles throughout the day with some hills and stairs. Bus: 2 hours. Sleep in Sevilla.

Day 13: Sevilla's Royal Alcázar

Today we'll start with a tour of the beautifully Moorish-style Alcázar palace (when available), the Sevilla home of the Spanish royal family for the past 500 years. Afterward, you're free to walk in the footsteps of Carmen and Don Juan, linger in Sevilla's charming squares, or stroll along the romantic Guadalquivir River. This evening we'll share travel memories and toast new friends at our final dinner together, capped off with a carriage ride through the streets of Sevilla. Salud!

Moderate walking: 2–6 miles throughout the day with some hills and stairs. No bus. Sleep in Sevilla.

Day 14: Tour Over After Breakfast

Breakfast is provided, but there are no group activities today. Sevilla's airport is a bus or taxi ride away, with easy connections throughout Europe. Alternatively, you can hop on an AVE train to Madrid to continue your Iberian adventures. Hasta luego!

Itinerary specifics subject to change.

Please note: We may not be able to visit the Alhambra as a group or guarantee admission due to their new restrictive ticketing policy.

The tour was my husband's idea. I was a little reluctant to travel with a group. I have to say, it was probably the best trip I've been on. It was completely stress free and the group we traveled with were lovely. Our guide, Fran , kept us all together and punctual with a smiling face and sense of humour.

An excellent, informative tour. A great introduction to Spain

Favorite "WOW" moment

"I've never liked picking one 'wow' moment because it makes me feel like I'm downgrading all the other beautiful sights and encounters, like the flamenco performance, for example. Nonetheless, being guided thru the Sagrada Familia opened my eyes to a unique and wonderful building; it is not a frivolity as I previously and mistakenly believed"

My wife and I enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. Lead by our fearless leader, Francisco, our merry band of 28 travelers had a very special overall experience. It seemed like we were given an insider's view to sites and restaurants. Replicating the experience "on our own" without the benefit of a RS tour would have been impossible. "While in Madrid, Francisco needed to be nimble due to circumstances related to the Princess formally announcing her intention to be in line for Queen. He took us to the Queen Sophia Museum where we saw Picasso's Guernica. Francisco shared a very personal perspective of what this artwork meant to him and his family. It was a beautiful moment for our group."

The best of Spain in 14 days provided an understanding of Spain, its history and culture that was very informative. The tour met the expectation of strenuous somewhat due to the doubling up of site activities on a single day. (in Sevilla visits to the Alcazar and Cathedral were done on the same day because the Cathedral was closed on the trip scheduled day). In spite of crowded sites we were able to have meaningful visits to them.

Spain was beautiful, fascinating and diverse and I'm so glad we got to see so many highlights. Every city was unique and I wouldn't have skipped any of them. Architecture and art were amazing. The activity level was quite demanding, as we were led to expect. Our guide, Amanda, was knowledgeable, kind and enthusiastic. The weather in late October was great - layers worked well and no heat to battle along with all the walking and climbing.

The tour was a mix between large cities and small towns. There was sufficient diversity in activities to please most people. There was adequate free time to seek out one’s individual interests.

Going beyond the history, we had experienced guides teach us about great works of art, unbelievable architecture, and tasty foods and drinks of the country.

Favorite "WOW" moment

"I would say seeing and touring the Alhambra was the biggest wow moment. The moment of the first night in Granada when we saw it lit up on the opposite hilltop with the moon rising over it, and then the tour of the grand fortress on the following day created lasting memories."

This was our first RSE tour and it far exceeded any expectations we had! We loved everything about our tour: our tour guide James, the itinerary, the country, the local tour guides, and especially our fellow travelers.

Favorite "WOW" moment

"There were so many “wow” moments that it’s hard to choose just one, but the unexpected and unplanned extra moments are what made the most impact for us. For example, James our tour guide arranged an impromptu visit with a classical guitarist who performed a couple of songs for us. An unexpected power outage resulted in a candlelight group dinner and impromptu entertainment with solo singing by individuals from the tour group."

The tour provided a really comprehensive exposure to so many different aspects of life in Spain. In addition, we visited local establishments where we learned about family saffron farms, windmills, bull farms and bullfights. We also experienced Andalucián horse farms, a family-run olive oil business, and Spanish guitar music. The Alhambra was a highlight, such a beautiful place!

Beginning with the communication and logistics, the choices for itinerary, lodging and dining, the guided site visits, the friendly and interesting travel companions and outstanding group guide, James, made for a wonderful educational, fun, and memorable travel experience.

Favorite "WOW" moment

The accommodations and food were much better than we expected. We felt very well cared for by our guide and our fellow travelers were the best.

Favorite "WOW" moment

"Sagrada Familia and Alhambra have to be seen in person to really appreciate and the guides really helped bring those places to life. Sites and experiences were very good. With the exception of too much time in Arcos and a four hour drop off in Jerez with no plan. Our guide was not as involved as we expected. For example, in Sevilla he led us through a maze of alleys to a flamenco show at night without leading us back to the hotel. We don’t mind spirits as part of the cultural experience; however, sometimes the drinking went on from morning until night.

Our tour was led by a seasoned and spirited guide, Javier, who introduced us to the remarkable history and culture of Spain. Our hosted meals were all extraordinary and we never lacked for samples of local food or drink during our travels across the country. The Best of Spain was a wonderful experience for our first time in Spain. We saw a variety of locations and learned a lot about the history and cultures. Our guide, Helen, was fantastic. She was cheerful, energetic, and very well organized. Also loved all the local guides. I love the free time that is built into the tours as well as suggestions during those times. I like how RS limits the group size so that you can spread out on the bus.

"Granada was a wonderful city to see. The Alhambra was amazing. I loved seeing it all lit up at night on our dinner that first night as well as touring it the next day. Plus, we went back on our own in the evening to see the gardens again (with fewer people) and to catch the sunset. All we had to do was show our passport again. We happened to be in Granada during the Magna Granada where the different churches process their floats through the city. It went on for hours & was near the hotel"

"We were lucky to be in Granada for a celebration held every 13 or 15 years, involving 22 or so heavy golden thrones or floats from the parishes around, all being carried very ceremoniously through town. The event began at 5:00 and lasted until 2:00 AM. The band following the floats were comprised by parish members of all ages. The drummers were quite serious as they led the pace of the men who carried the floats from underneath. The floats were all gold and depicted scenes of Jesus’s life. "

Overall, it was really good, but a little bit too long (and too much "art museum"). I believe that Rick Steve's tours create memories and experiences that enhance European travel. The Spain tour was a perfect blend of big city and small towns that allow the traveler to experience the culture to its fullest.

"I loved LaMancha and Granada. Dinner on the Albayzin hillside with a view of the Alhambra at night was amazing. Seeing the windmills and getting a look inside was memorable. Of course, the Sagrada Familia was one of the most beautiful architectural structures that I've every been inside. "

I loved all of the locations of the hotels we stayed in, including the ones we didn't get to because my husband tested positive for Covid on Day 8. The group meals were fantastic, and our tour guide, Luis Troconis, was informative and upbeat. I also enjoyed all of the insights from each of the local guides in the cities/towns that we visited. The free time was much appreciated, whether to explore on our own or get some much-needed rest.

This was our fourth Rick Steves tour and it was every bit as good as the others. Our tour guide, Luis Troconis, was outstanding, informative and always cheerful. He even came up with a fun and informative alternative to "the name game" that helped us get know our fellow travelers and promoted conversations amongst us. I loved the mix of big cities and small towns, especially our peaceful view in Arcos de la Frontera.

Hands down an exceptional tour guided by Luis. Every day he brought his A game; positive attitude, was funny, and informative, kept us all on track, gave us suggestions on where to eat or go, etc. He went out of his way for a group of us who wanted to visit the Reina Sofia Museum to see Pablo Picasso's famous painting, Guernica. The tour was a good balance of group activities and free time to explore, get lost, and find our own "back doors".

Favorite "WOW" moment

""Wow" moments were around every corner in all the different cities we visited, but if I had to pick just one, it would be the reason I wanted to visit Spain in the first place: La Sagrada Familia! If there is a portal directly from Earth to Heaven, surely this is it! I could have easily spent hours looking at this architectural masterpiece. Our local guide did an excellent job showing us the basilica's highlights that we probably would have missed on a solo tour. I'll definitely be back!"

I loved the Best of Spain in 14 Days tour. It was an amazing two weeks. I knew very little about Spain and learned something new everyday. The food was fabulous! Our tour group members were very fun and our guide, Amanda, was awesome.

Favorite "WOW" moment

"I enjoyed every city/town we visited for different reasons. The most surprising to me were the Andalusian hill towns. My “wow” moment was our stay in Arcos de La Frontera. Spain has been on my bucket list for several years and I finally got to go there. As advertised. Excellent in almost every way, except for group size. You advertise small groups of 24-28 people but I’ve been on four tours now with 29 people. 24 would be better by far. We couldn’t even do a walking tour of our neighborhood, the Gothic Quarter because the group was too large. And going through places like the Prado with 31 people (two guides) is a zoo.

Another great Rick Steves tour. A good tour guide is important to a good experience and Javier was exceptional. This was my first Rick Steves tour and I could not have been more satisfied. The arrangements -- as extensive as they clearly had to have been -- ensured an effortlessly enjoyable and memorable trip. Fantastic. Having Luis Troconis as a guide was great. He is knowledgeable (bring from Spain), friendly & organized. I thoroughly enjoyed this trip. We covered a lot of territory and hit the highlights of each location, plus we were left with plenty of time to explore on our own. Once again, got to see places I would have never visited on my own, like the small white towns in Andalusia, but they were interesting, historic locations.

As usual, a great tour group to be with for 14 days. Agustin, our guide, was all business as we went to the various towns and cities before he shared cultural and historic insights as well as places to explore on your own. I appreciated that! Pack light because you do haul your own bags for some distance before getting to the hotels. The hotels were great and many had memory foam beds, which I love. The mix of cathedrals, palaces and museums was perfect for an immersion into Spain's culture.

I could not have asked for a better experience with a better group of people. It was our best vacation ever, and a great introduction to Europe and the Rick Steve's tour style.

Favorite "WOW" moment

"From the breathtaking views to the narrow organic cobble stone streets Spain was incredibly impressive. But one of the biggest 'wow' moments had to have been approaching and the entering the Familia Sagrada Basilica in Barcelona. Maybe the most incredible building I have ever seen, the inside is otherworldly, the details and passion that have gone into its creation are unmatched. "

The tour was so well thought out. We had previously used Rick's books for reference on trips to Paris and Italy. This tour alleviated the need to book places to stay, attractions and transportation. Our exceptional tour guide, Robert Wright, added information, history and even poetry to make our trip complete. I would recommend the 14 Days in Spain as money well spent. I ran out of expressions of awe after the first few days. The accommodations were excellent.

The overall concept was fantastic, alternating between excellent group experiences and free time to be immersed in the local culture. The itinerary and guides were first rate, and there were special and memorable moments at each location. Our group spirit was excellent, and I enjoyed the alternation between the more social group time and quiet time on our own. We especially enjoyed getting to explore the more rural areas.

The Best of Spain Tour is well organized regarding locations, time, transportation, and activities. With exceptionally knowledgeable tour guides, I have completely immersed myself in Spanish history, literature, arts, custom, etc. The hotels are carefully selected either providing convenient locations in cities or offering spectacular views of the countryside. Also, authentic delicious Spanish food has been presented to you many times on the tours.

Favorite "WOW" moment

"I was so impressed by the landscaping of the Hotel Molino Del Arco! The fantastic view from the swimming pool area attracted tour members to join the pool immediately after settling in their rooms. Most of us wish to stay one more day in the hotel and explore more."

The group was friendly, Agustin was knowledgeable, local guides were incredible, sites were worthwhile, nice variety (small towns and large cities). and bus rides were interspersed with fun things to see and do. The first several days were tough (jet lag), but I was still amazed. The only negative was the person who basically showed up coughing and did not wear a mask until two to three days later--TOO late.

Favorite "WOW" moment

"Tie between Sagrada Familia and Alhambra. Although I was a little jet lagged during the Sagrada tour, the light from the stain glass windows on the walls was a definite WOW. The intricacies of the Alhambra was such a visual treat."

What a wonderful two weeks! Thanks to our group's guide Agustin, my mom and I had a great trip to Spain and enjoyed all the informative and entertaining local guides as well. The food was fantastic (especially considering I asked for vegetarian options, and everywhere provided) and the travel pace was just right.

Favorite "WOW" moment

"Naturally the royal palaces, Familia Sagrada, Alcazar, Alhambra, the Prado, and the walking tours around the cities were excellent. But I am going to have to bundle together experiences that I can’t begin to put into some rank order because each of the following was unique: the Roman aqueduct, synagogue, the windmills, saffron stop, the bull and horse farms, olive oil, sherry and brandy tasting and last but not least the underground archaeological site! One favorite, “Wow” moment? Impossible!! "

Our tour leader, Robert, was terrific in all aspects, very proficient in role, with great insight into Spanish culture & history, plus great restaurant suggestions. Note that Barcelona top attractions for free time need advanced purchases, no other reservations needed in trip. THC cartridges can be obtained at some shops off the Rambles in Barcelona, near the Placa de Catalunya, but nowhere else in Spain. We had thunderstorms for six straight days, but hardly got wet due to fortuitous timing.

"3rd Place: Gaudi's Barcelona headlined by Sagrada Familia, combined with Casa Batllo, La Padrera, and Park Guell, visit on Day 2. 2nd Place: Picasso's masterpiece Guernica, hanging at the Reina Sofia in Madrid. Everyone agrees its the most powerful anti-war painting in history, but I would argue that it symbolizes all forms of oppression, thus even more significant. 1st Place: Grenada, headlined by the Alhambra and its gardens, plus ate at Los Diamantes & Bodegas Castenedas during rainstorms."

So well organized. Robert was a wonderful host, full of knowledge about Spain and anxious to share his knowledge and love of Spain with us. The guides provided at various times were excellent, some easier to understand than others. Sometimes just mic placement I think. Robert was thoughtful and did his best to meet our needs, including returning to a restaurant to pick up the purse I forgot! He got there faster than I did. Much appreciated. Hotels and food mostly great.

Our groups guide and the local guides were excellent. Hotels and transportation were very good. Tours we wouldn’t have booked for ourselves(bull farm, horse farm, and flamenco) were great experiences. Group meals were delicious, but chaotic. Group “shuffle” tours through towns and sites were painful. Guides stopping in narrow areas with traffic was unsafe. Guide feeling a need to talk. We have taken quite a few Rick Steves' tours and I would have to say this tour ranked at the top. Our guide Todd was fantastic and very knowledgeable and made the Spanish culture, history, and food come alive.

"My WOW moment was dinner across the valley from the Alhambra as the sun was setting which drenched the Alhambra with a warm glow. Just Beautiful! I believe the groups most exciting moment was seeing Rick in person and taking a group picture with him in Toledo."

Todd was a fantastic guide, who provided us with all the information and help we needed. Spain is beautiful and, although the weather was unseasonably hot for April and early May (some temps reached more than 90), we had a fabulous time. Todd provided us with his own personalized maps and historical, as well as gastronomical, information. He was outstanding!

Favorite "WOW" moment

"There were many fabulous sights on this trip — the Alhambra, the Real Alcazar de Seville, the Roman aqueduct in Segovia, etc, but the real wow moments were the outstanding food! Based upon Rick’s suggestion in the guide, we went to Chocolateria San Gines in Barcelona. We ate traditional hot chocolate and churros. The chocolate is very thick (similar to hot fudge) and warm. The churros are dipped into the chocolate and then savored. So delicious!"

The quality of a Rick Steves tour always starts with the guide. Todd was a great guide on so many levels. His knowledge of Spanish culture and history was great and his teaching style lent itself to easy understanding. His attention to detail kept Arturo on schedule, and when the worst little snafu‘s he was able to adjust. I appreciated this about Todd and plus he was very passionate about what he did and it rubbed off. The places we went or amazing.

"As many have said, the dinner on the outdoor patio as the sun set and the lights came on the Alhambra had to be the top wow moment. Close seconds were the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, the view from our room's patio in the hill town of Arcos de la Frontera, and actually meeting Rick Steves in person while he was doing research in Toledo."

We loved each of the tour days we were able to experience. Todd was an outstanding guide! He put together a detailed handout for each stop that was particularly helpful. His care and attention to the group’s needs were exceptional. Unfortunately, my husband ended up being hospitalized on day 5 of the tour so we were unable to continue with the group.

Favorite "WOW" moment

Our tour was extremely well organized and our host, James, was on top of all details and potential threats. while on a city tour in Toledo, James was bringing up the rear of our group and was spot on to intervene and recover the stollen wallet of one our tour members. Some cash was lost, but all personal documents were recovered.

"Absolutely the wow moments of each Rick Steves tour for me is getting out into the countryside and personally experiencing how the people of each particular country live and survive. In Spain to be able to be on a farm when bulls are raised for bullfights, to tour and experience a family owned Olive Oil Mill and also visit a local Andalusian Horse Farm. The variety of venues on this tour is nothing short of outstanding."

We have now taken 6 RS tours and found Best of Spain to be one of the best. We believe Robert to be one of the best guides we have had of our tours, his knowledge and excitement about Spain, one of our highlights. We loved the Best of Spain, however a few suggestions. The 2 nights in Arcos, the tour of the Government Horse farm and lunch in Jerez could have been replaced with just a lunch in Arcos for the view ( taxi ride to top of tour). an added nite in Sevilla or trip to a coastal town.

Robert was our guide and he did everything to make our visit to Spain memorable. Without an experienced, professional tour guide like Robert our trip would not have been the same. I hope your company continues to hire quality guides as I believe they make the difference. I believe this is where the Rick Steves organzation distinguishes itself from the competition.

Favorite "WOW" moment

"La Sagrada Familia was breathtaking. We were told that it might be finished in 10 years. Not sure, but if that happens, we will return to Spain on another Rick's Steves trip. The overall experience of a Rick Steves tour is always great. It's an efficient way to see a number of places in a short period of time. It's just for me, my personal desire is for good photos and it's not specifically geared towards that. So I was disappointed in some cases an in some locations (e.g. staying OUTSIDE of Ronda). But I accept all of that and will continue to consider other Rick Steves tours in the future.

Hotels & Flights

Tour Hotels

In case you wish to book pre- or post-tour hotel accommodations, the contact information for the tour's first and last hotels is included in your tour confirmation email, as well as in the Itinerary section of your tour account. One month prior to the tour departure, in your customer account you'll find the directions to your first tour hotel and a complete list of hotels where we'll be staying in the Documents section of your tour account.

Flights

Our tours don't include airfare, so your flight arrangements are completely up to you.

Most tour members arrange to fly into Barcelona (BCN) and out of Sevilla (SVQ) — choose "multicity" on flight-booking websites. Booking round-trip to one city will require a connecting flight, train trip, or additional overnight stay in Spain.

We suggest arriving a day or two before your tour begins to allow ample time to get over jet lag and be well-rested for the first few days of your tour. For more information about transportation options for getting to and from your tour, see your Rick Steves Spain guidebook.
