But on the next Travel with Rick Steves, New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof tells us how his career as a foreign correspondent introduced him to people who reaffirmed his faith in humanity. And keeps him optimistic about our future.

We'll also check in with an Australian chef who's made his home in France, and shares how Paris really is the world's most delicious city.
