Program 770: Sagre Festivals of Italy; Rome Today; Eyewitness in Hungary 1956
Release Date: 10-19-2024
On-Air Description
Find out what's new in Rome, as the city prepares to shine for the upcoming Jubilee year celebrations.
Head for the hills, and the small town harvest festivals, on the backroads of Italy.
And hear what it was like in Hungary, in October 1956, during one of the most dramatic events of the Cold War period. Author Michael Korda tells us how he tried to help protesting students and workers, who were soon crushed by its Russian-backed government.
It's on the next Travel with Rick Steves.
